I’m a Brazilian ELT Mentor & Consultant, Young Learner (YL) Specialist, English Language Teacher & Teacher Educator based in Curitiba. I’ve been an EFL teacher for 25 years and a Teacher Educator for 10. I’m also a CELTA, ICELT, CPE, TKT: Modules 1, 2, 3, TKT:Young Learner & Train the Trainer holder. I’m a speaking examiner for international exams and I have experience as an Academic Coordinator as well.
I hold a B.A. in Portuguese-English Languages & Literatures from PUC-PR, a Specialisation Course in Modern Foreign Languages Teaching & Culture from UFPR, a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics (with a focus on Phonology-Suprasegmental Features) from UFPR, and a Certification in Teaching Young Learners from NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education).
Nowadays, my main research interests lie in areas involving Teaching YLs, More respectful Approaches and Methods of Teaching YLs & Teens, Professional Development, Teacher Training, Teacher Education, International Exams, Gender Equity & Equality, Feminisms, a more inclusive & feminist education, Paulo Freire’s & bell hooks’ research.
I currently work as an independent professional, and I see education and knowledge as a means of freedom and inclusion.
